Impatient Porsche Panamera Driver Cuts Off Trucker, Gets Rear-Ended

Offbeat

There are few things that grind our gears quite like impatient drivers, particularly when they cause stupid crashes like this one.

Dashcam footage recently shared to Reddit captured shows the driver of a truck driving down a two-lane road when, all of a sudden, a silver Porsche Panamera comes into view.

Despite this only being a two-lane road, the driver of the Panamera thought it would be a good idea to try and overtake the truck. We can’t get inside the man’s head but suspect he wasn’t happy with the pace of traffic around him.

In the video, he can be seen pulling alongside the trucker but then appears to notice that the black estate in front of him had hit the brakes to allow a lady to cross at a pedestrian crossing. While the Porsche driver was able to avoid rear-ending the estate, he swerved directly into the path of the truck, leaving the trucker with no time to react. The truck ends up hitting the rear bumper of the Panamera.

The aftermath of the accident is quite funny to watch as the pedestrian who witnessed the whole thing appears to explain to the Porsche driver that he was responsible for the crash after swerving in front of the truck. The Porsche driver, meanwhile, appears quite frustrated and based on his hand gestures, looks to be blaming the trucker.

Beyond this being an example of what can happen when you’re impatient, it also appears likely that the driver of the Porsche was distracted at the time as mere seconds after the crash, he emerges from the car and can be seen speaking on his phone.
