Vauxhall names new head of marketing


UK-based Stellantis brand Vauxhall has appointed former Renault UK executive Adam Wood to lead marketing.

Wood, 37, started in late August and reports to Vauxhall Managing Director Paul Willcox, the brand said in a statement.

Wood joined Renault UK as part of its graduate management program in 2007 and rose to the position of marketing director in 2018.

In January he was promoted to the position of Dacia brand director for the UK and Ireland, before making the decision to move to Vauxhall.

Wood replaces long-serving Vauxhall executive Peter Hope, who moves to the global position of director of business development and transformation for Opel/Vauxhall.

“I am delighted to welcome Adam to Vauxhall. He brings a thorough understanding of customers and vehicle marketing together with a real passion for automotive,” Willcox said in the statement.

Vauxhall along with sister brand Opel have committed to selling only electric vehicles starting in 2028.

“I welcome the opportunity to shape the future of the Vauxhall brand,” Wood said in the statement.

Wood’s former position as brand head for Dacia in UK and Ireland will be taken by Dacia UK’s current head of sales, Luke Broad, starting Oct. 1, Dacia said.
